The DSSRF program employs a cohort model in which students meet together daily throughout the eight weeks of the program. These cohort meetings provide opportunities for students to learn about new research methods and digital technologies while engaging in discussions about issues and practices in digital scholarship. The cohort model also provides a way for our students to engage in a community of practice. While program facilitators provide guidance and mentorship, students develop relationships with one another and regularly turn to their peers for feedback and support as they work on various aspects of their projects. The DSSRF cohort model is unique among undergraduate research programs at Bucknell, and students often identify peer-to-peer learning as one of the most rewarding aspects of their experience.
